Salciccia di Castelvecchio De.Co.
The Salciccia di Castelvecchio is a unique local product and has been awarded a ‘Denominazione Comunale’, which is a registered municipal designation of origin.
It can only be made in the artisan workshops of the Municipality of Monte Porzio, which have to follow certain procedures, and only using prime cuts of pork from pigs that are bred and slaughtered in Italy.
The pork used comes from traditional Italian breeds and at the time of slaughter, they must weigh at least 140 kilos and have a minimum age of 8 months.
